1. General Warranty Information

All products supplied by pccave are resold from supplier chains in South Africa. Warranties are provided by the local brand distributors through our suppliers. Please also check the warranty information from the relevant manufacturer.

The local brand distributor/supplier has the ultimate decision on any warranty claims, and we are required to uphold their policies.

Media and consumables do not carry warranties and cannot be returned unless:

A known problem is reported to our supplier with similar items in their batches, and

The supplier agrees to replace them.

pccave will facilitate this process on your behalf.

2. Defective Products

If your product is defective within the manufacturer’s warranty, please notify us.

We will arrange for your item to be booked in with the supplier’s Technical Department.

Testing can take up to 7 days.

Carry-in Warranty:

Customers must deliver the product either to our offices in Duynefontein – Western Cape or directly to our suppliers in Cape Town, Johannesburg, or Durban.

After supplier testing:

If defective → most suppliers replace items immediately.

If no stock is available → we may issue a credit or offer a replacement (depending on supplier availability).

If no fault is found (intermittent or non-reproducible issues) or physical damage is detected → no replacement will be issued and a delivery fee will be charged to return the item.

3. Compatibility & Customer Error

If you purchased a product that is:

Incompatible with your system, or

Functional but not suitable for your needs,

We will accept returns for credit only if:

The product is returned within 7 business days of purchase.

The product is in resellable condition in the original packaging.

Customer must arrange their own courier to return items.

A handling fee of up to 6% may be deducted to cover:

Payment gateway fees, and

Courier charges for the original delivery.

Returns will not be accepted if:

More than 7 business days have passed, or

Packaging is opened or damaged.

4. Out-of-Stock & Refunds

Due to the volatile nature of the IT industry, items may sell out before stock updates occur.

In such cases:

A credit will be issued to choose a suitable replacement.

A refund will only be given if:

No suitable replacement is available in specifications or price range.

Refunds may incur a handling fee of up to 6% (to cover payment gateway charges).

Wherever possible, pccave will first attempt to source a replacement option to keep customers satisfied.
